Everything tastes better out of a handmade mug - that's science!
These lovely mugs start out as cups thrown on the potter's wheel with a black stoneware, which is brown while soft and turns black when fired. Each handle is hand-pulled, and the mandala flower design is carved out by hand every time. After the first firing (called the "bisque" fire) to 1900 degrees F, the mug is immersed in Matte White glaze and then fired, for the final time, to nearly 2200 degrees F.
The way the glaze lays over the clay is pure magic, and the result is a totally unique, large sized mug that's exactly perfect for your favorite beverage. Food, dishwasher and microwave safe! Initialed and dated on the bottom by yours truly. Exact volume will vary between 12 and 20 ounces.
